Dodger Stadium seats - gold - available now!
TROY, IN (PRWEB) May 19, 2009 – Los Angeles Dodgers fans and Major League Baseball collectors now have an opportunity to own a piece of Dodgertown history. S&S Seating today announced that they are making a limited number of memorabilia Dodger Stadium seats available for purchase to the general public. S&S Seating removed the collectible memorabilia stadium seats from Dodger Stadium following the 2005 season.
A limited number of the following colors are available: Blue, Gold, Red and Orange. Also available are rare blue Spirit seats, which are oversized padded seats, as well as rare floor-mount seats in the Gold color. Seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and all memorabilia seats come with a certificate of authenticity.
Since its inaugural game on April 10, 1962, Dodger Stadium has hosted eight World Series Championships and has seen pitchers such as Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Don Sutton, Fernando Valenzuela, and Orel Hershiser became superstars after arriving in Los Angeles. 10 no-hitters have been thrown in the stadium, including two perfect games (by the Dodgers' Sandy Koufax in 1965, and by Dennis Martínez of the former Montreal Expos in 1991). Bo Belinsky threw the first ever no-hitter in Dodger Stadium on May 5, 1962 while pitching for the Los Angeles Angels (that club referred to the park as "Chavez Ravine".)
In addition to Major League Baseball games, Dodger stadium also hosted non-MLB events including: Mass at Dodger Stadium by Pope John Paul II; scenes from multiple feature films; 1984 Summer Olympics baseball competition and many musical concerts by the world’s top performers.
At the conclusion of the 2005 season, Dodger Stadium underwent major renovations including the replacement of nearly all of the stadium seats. Of the 56,000 seats removed in 2005, only 2,000 pairs were made available to the public. Fans that missed their chance in 2005 can now buy their very own Dodger Stadium seats.
